Beautiful original Frisian "Kantoortje" (also called Notarisklok) a day runner with alarm.
Dial is signed on the back with: S.Cath, GV No 21. Band.
The painter of the dial was probably: R.P. Lusthof.
Red made oak clock case which is in beautiful condition.
Nice original wooden dolls on top of the hood.
The ornament on the slide is still original, but a piece is missing, a new one can be put on in consultation.
Dimensions: HxWxD - 120 x 35 x 20 cm. These are the measurements of the case with the shields and the widest part of the case.

watchmaker. Started independently in 1859 and later had several servants.
Married August 25, 1870 in Joure to Aaltje Ozia Risselda. Several clocks made by his servants were on display in the exhibition of HET NUT in 1877. In a book entitled “Walks through Friesland 1877 1882, J.Craandijk describes the visit he paid to the clockmaking workshop of SIMKE CATH.
