Bulle Tableclock

Electric

Beautiful high bell jar clock by the Bulle company with a beautiful shiny mahogany base.
The silver-colored dial has a monogram with the letters MFB
(Maurice Favre Bulle) "patent" and the letters SGDG, which stands for: Sans Garantie Du Gouvernement'.
One adjustable foot on the back of the foot ensures that the clock can stand level, allowing the pendulum to mve freely.
Original heavy bell jar, which is quite rare considering the age of the clock.

Clock dates from around 1920 (serial number 935).
This is therefore a clock from the first year of production.

This clock has the famous electric movement designed by Mr. Favre Bulle with a coil that moves back and forth around a 'half round' magnet. There is therefore hardly any wear. Runs on a one and a half volt battery and runs on it for more than a year.
Has no striking mechanism.

Dimensions: HxW = 41 x 21 cm.

Commercial production began about 3rd qtr 1920. Production stopped in 1939 and did not resume until after the war, then stopped for good in 1954 following Bulle's death. A total of about 330,000 clocks were made, apparently all being sequentially numbered.
