Beautiful large Boulle Cartel clock on console.
Made in Tortoiseshell and brass and in this case it concerns "Contre Boulle". This is the form of Boulle technique where the proportion of the metal exceeds that of the tortoiseshell.
The refined sawing and carving of the brass and tortoiseshell is of an extremely high quality and refinement.
The dial is made of gilt bronze and has 12 cartouches.
The beautiful large original timepiece is signed: JB Dosté a Paris and has striking mechanism on a beautifully sounding bell every full and half hour.
The Boulle work has been completely restored and brought into beautiful condition.
The timepiece will be overhauled, the clock can also be used as a table clock, so without console.
